An interview was carried out with Orhan Gencebay on his album titled as 'Batsın Bu Dünya', which was released in 1975. Throughout the interview, information about the musical and literary content in 10 works of his album was gathered. The works were listened from the internet one by one. These works were notated, and then through a musical analysis, their tonalities (maqams) and rhythms (usuls) were determined, and their literary features were explored. It can be understood that Orhan Gencebay, taking education on Western Music, Turkish Folk Music and Turkish Art (Classical) Music during his childhood, has blended these genres in his works. Being a composer, especially his talent in using three strings of Bağlama (Turkish folk guitar) in a variety of positions; moreover, articulating society's feelings in his works, made the artist popular during 1960s. The tonalities (maqams) and rhythms (usuls) in 10 musical works of the album were determined and they were analysed in a poetic aspect. The artistic expressions used were stated and they were linked to the lyric manner. Analysing the 10 works, it was seen that nihavent, muhayyer, muhayyer kürdi, rast, buselik, kürdi, uşşak tonalities (maqams) had been used in those works. Düyek, Nim Sofyan, Sofyan rhythms (usuls) were detected. It was found that he had used tecahül-i Arif, nidâ, tekrir, tezat, istifham, teşbih, teşhis, telmih, istiare arts in his lyrics and had used stanzas and verses in his lyrics.
